SUBMIT YOUR OWN SCREENSHOTS
In order to celebrate your activities in Ultima Online, we will be displaying a new player generated screenshot each week on the front page of the OWO site. In order to make this process as painless as possible, we have just a few guidelines for you to follow when creating screenshots: (please understand that we cannot accept images that do not conform to this criteria)

Screenshot Parameters:
1. 640 x 480
2. 24 bit color (no 256 color)
3. Bitmap (*.bmp) format

Aesthetics:
1. No cursor in shot
2. No UO or windows interface in shot (gameplay area only)
3. No partial gumps (if you want your paperdoll in the shot, it must be the whole paperdoll)
4. Must be game engine generated (no fakes or other manipulation)

Please also provide in the Email with the shot:
1. Your name (either in-game character name)
2. Your location (the city and state or corresponding locale of your country that you physically live in, not the game city or shard)
3. A 1 sentence caption for the shot

Send the Email to: uo-screenshots@owo.com

Not sure how to take screenshots?

First, make sure that your cursor and all gumps (such as status bars, shopkeeper windows, etc) are either closed or not covering the game screen. Then, hit the PrtScn (printscreen) key.

Next, open Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> Paint.

Once open, click on 'Edit', then 'Paste' (or hit Ctrl-V). It should tell you that the image in the clipboard is larger than the bitmap, and ask you if you would like the bitmap enlarged. Click 'Yes'.

You should then see your screenshot in the window. Go to 'File' and click 'Save As', and choose a name for the shot. It will be saved in bitmap format, which is the ideal format for submitting screenshots. To be eligible for submission, the shot should be at least 640 pixels by 480 pixels in size. Be sure to remember where you saved it on your hard drive!
